Officer Claims Pre‑Planned Attack as Protestors Attack Police at Jantar Mantar
Inspector Nand Kishore Singh, speaking to media representatives, alleged that the assault on him during the Jantar Mantar protest was not spontaneous but a pre‑meditated act.
He described how a large group of 150‑200 individuals strategically encircled him, brandishing sticks and stones. Singh said the assailants had planned to target any police official they saw, opening fire with aggression the moment an officer appeared in uniform.
The officer also asserted that those involved were not students, as many had claimed, but other participants who deliberately aimed to harm law‑enforcement agents.
The Delhi Police shared a video of the clash, reiterating its condemnation of the violent tactics and urging the public to voice dissent through peaceful means.
