Survey Shows 87% Women Find Odisha’s Subhadra Scheme Highly Useful

Recent surveys by IIM Sambalpur and the State Bank of India reveal that 87.19 % of Subhadra Scheme beneficiaries consider the programme extremely useful.

The data indicates that a significant majority of women channel the ₹5,000 grant towards savings, entrepreneurial ventures, and other growth‑oriented activities instead of immediate consumption.

The Odisha government has also set up a Women Entrepreneurship Platform that offers guidance, skill‑training, market linkages and additional financial support to help beneficiaries transform the cash aid into sustainable livelihood projects.

Chief Minister Mohan Chandra Majhi praised the results, stating that the scheme not only provides monetary assistance but also builds the foundation for long‑term self‑reliance among women across the state.
