Oct 7 Marked as Historic Day as Modi Completes 25 Years in Office

October 7 has been declared an historic date in the annals of Indian democracy as Prime Minister Narendra Modi completes 25 years of continuous governance, a feat first highlighted by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Gurugram.

Shah praised Modi’s ability to retain mass support and stay at the helm of both state and central governments for a quarter of a century. He underscored achievements ranging from the abolishment of Article 370 to the nationwide push for infrastructure upgrades, and the empowerment of millions through poverty‑alleviation schemes.

The occasion is being commemorated through the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’, a nationwide service torch rally that will traverse every district, encouraging youth to join the celebration and contribute to the nation’s ongoing development agenda.
