North-East Growth Push: Sindhia Highlights Industrial Plans at Tripura Event

The upcoming Tripura Business Conclave 2026 is being framed as a cornerstone of the broader North‑East development agenda. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Sindhia will use the platform to outline the central government's strategic focus on industrial expansion, connectivity and logistics.

Sindhia will discuss plans to upgrade highways, develop multimodal freight corridors and expand digital infrastructure, all intended to integrate the region more tightly with national supply chains. He will also stress the importance of skill development programmes to prepare a local workforce for emerging industries.

By aligning the conclave’s objectives with the Prime Minister’s ‘Act East Vision’, the government aims to position the North‑East as a manufacturing hub that can serve both domestic markets and export corridors to Southeast Asia.

Stakeholders attending the event include senior officials from ministries, state leaders, venture capitalists and representatives of leading multinational corporations, all expected to sign memoranda of understanding that could move the investment pipeline forward.
