Noida Police Gear Up for Festive Season with Tighter Security

Greater Noida, October 28: The Gautam Buddh Nagar Commissionerate Police has accelerated its preparations for the forthcoming festivals, focusing on public safety and order.

Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh provided the overall direction for the effort. Following this, DCP Central Noida Dr. Praveen Ranjan Singh convened a detailed review session with senior officers, station in-charges and post in-charges to plan the festival security framework.

The session covered maintaining peace and harmony during the festive days, heightened vigilance at vulnerable locations and crime prevention. Officers present included ADCP Central Noida Swatantra Kumar Singh, ACP I Deeksha Singh, ACP II Kamlesh Kant and ACP III Rajeev Kumar, along with station in-charges of Phase-2, Phase-3, Bisrakh, Sector-63, Surajpur, Ecotech-3, Sector-142 and Badalpur, and the concerned post in-charges.

During the session, each area's law and order status, crime figures and policing methods were assessed. The DCP instructed that enough police personnel be placed at major religious destinations, markets and areas with heavy footfall.

The focus will remain on active police presence at sensitive spots, with more foot patrols and patrolling. Officers are expected to keep moving across their areas and stay connected with residents.

The meeting also called for close monitoring of social media posts, messages and similar activity. The objective is to stop misinformation or objectionable content from creating unrest. Officers were told to take preventive steps promptly if any untoward incident is feared.

A separate discussion took place on controlling crime and clearing pending cases. The DCP assessed each police station and post individually and urged officers to speedily solve offences.

Other key instructions included accelerating the arrest of wanted and warrant-bound accused, carrying out routine checks of suspicious persons and vehicles, and making night patrols more effective. Women's safety cases and public hearing complaints must be dealt with on time and with quality.

Priority government matters were reviewed as well. Complaints received through IGRS are to be resolved with quality. The DCP also advised effective use of the YAKSH app and faster digital policing via e-evidence and e-summons systems. All campaigns will be checked regularly and their progress reviewed.

Specifically, nationals of Nigeria residing in Central Noida came up for discussion. Officers were directed to update the verification of their records and take legal action where required, in line with rules. The aim is to maintain law and order and monitor compliance with prescribed norms.

The DCP told all officers to act with responsibility, interact with the public more and ensure rapid response. He stressed that festival security cannot tolerate any lapse. The police want to maintain strict control over criminals while offering a safe environment, so that every festival concludes peacefully and harmoniously.
