Noida Police Dismantle Multi‑State Bike Theft and Phone Theft Network

Authorities in Noida have successfully broke up a multi‑state criminal outfit that targeted two‑wheelers and mobile devices. The gang, operating mainly in Delhi‑NCR, would conduct “rekhi” raids on deserted lanes to pilfer motorcycles and scooters, which were later employed to approach unsuspecting walkers and snatch their phones. The operation on September 18 resulted in the seizure of 22 stolen two‑wheelers, 31 confiscated phones, a modest cash sum of ₹2,500, and three prohibited knives. Four adult members – Vikki Yadav, Karan Nagar, Ravindra and Vishal Mahato – were arrested, while two minors were placed under police guardianship. Investigators discovered that a portion of the stolen phones were sold cheaply on the street, while a larger batch was transported to Bihar for higher resale value. Ongoing inquiries aim to uncover additional gang members and related theft‑snatching cases.
