Commuters in Noida and Greater Noida can rejoice as the Union Government approves the Aqua Line Metro’s extension from Botanical Garden to Sector 142. Spanning 11.56 km at a cost of approximately Rs 2,254 crore, this elevated route will feature eight fresh stations, enhancing connectivity across key sectors.
With the UP Cabinet’s prior nod on the DPR, central approval clears all hurdles for the four-year timeline. Stations include Botanical Garden (interchange with Blue Line), Sector-44, Noida Office, Sector-97, Sector-105, Sector-108, Sector-93, and Panchsheel Balak Inter College.
This vital link will streamline travel to Delhi, curb traffic snarls, and promote greener commutes. Residential areas like Sector 44 and booming commercial zones in 93, 105, and 108 will see unprecedented accessibility, benefiting office-goers immensely.
Experts predict a real estate boom, with increased demand for housing and offices. In parallel, a compact 2.6-km extension to Bodaki from Greater Noida Depot, budgeted at Rs 416 crore, has been sanctioned too, complete with Junpat and Bodaki stations—the latter featuring modern facilities.
As part of broader urban mobility upgrades under Viksit Bharat@2047, these projects will decongest roads, boost efficiency, and drive regional prosperity, marking a new era for NCR transit.
