No Casualties Reported as Fire Ravages Three-Story Timber Factory in West Delhi

A massive fire engulfed a three‑storey timber and plywood factory situated close to the Capital Park Metro station in West Delhi on Sunday morning. The inferno rapidly consumed the ground floor up to the third level, fueled by large piles of timber, plywood and other flammable supplies.

The Delhi fire department arrived promptly, deploying a contingent of 25 fire trucks. Firefighters labored for several hours, battling the high‑intensity flames and preventing the fire from leaping to neighboring shops.

Law enforcement and fire crews also managed a sizable crowd that gathered at the site, restoring calm and securing the perimeter. Thankfully, no injuries or fatalities have been recorded.

Preliminary surveys suggest severe loss of the factory’s structure and its inventory. Authorities have yet to determine the ignition source, and a thorough investigation is in progress to pinpoint the cause and assess the factors that accelerated the spread.
