NIA’s extensive operation in Kashmir uncovers cross‑border terror network

A comprehensive NIA operation across three districts of the Kashmir region has uncovered what officials describe as a sophisticated cross‑border terror network. Seven sites – two in Kulgam, three in Bandipora and two in Baramulla’s Sopore – were searched for evidence of collaboration between Pakistani handlers and local over‑ground workers.

The raids, carried out with the assistance of local police, aimed to locate weapons, live cartridges and any material that could confirm the alleged conspiracy. The current probe follows a similar sweep on August 22 that targeted ten locations in Srinagar, Kupwara, Anantnag, Pulwama and Badgam.

Investigators are now mapping the communication pathways, supply chains and financial flows that may have supported the alleged plot, seeking to dismantle the entire support structure.
