Next Hearing Set for September 9 in Red Fort Car Explosion Probe

The legal timeline for the Red Fort car bomb case has moved forward with the court fixing 9 September as the date for the next hearing. This follows the Special NIA Court’s acceptance of the agency’s charge sheet, which lists thirteen accused including the late Umar-un-Nabi and several others identified during a multi‑state probe.

During the investigation, authorities recorded statements from 588 witnesses, collected 395 documents and confiscated more than 200 pieces of material linked to the plot. The upcoming session will assess the prosecutor’s summary of the evidence and decide on any additional actions against the remaining suspects.
