Next hearing set for September 7 as court orders release of EMICs findings

The Supreme Court has fixed September 7 as the next date for hearing the petition challenging Jharkhand’s DGP appointment rules. In the session held on September 2, the bench directed that the EMICs query report be provided to the state government without delay.

Senior advocate Kapil Sibbal, representing Jharkhand, argued that the absence of the report prevented the government from defending its selection process. The judges ordered the EMICs committee to submit its analysis promptly, ensuring both parties can rely on the same factual basis during the upcoming arguments.
