The CID verified the hotel’s records and found signatures linking the candidates to the premises. However, Marandi contended that the investigative report omitted this crucial evidence, and that the High Court was never supplied with the full scope of the findings. He warned that such omissions could jeopardise the fairness of the entire recruitment exercise.
