Discussions include safeguarding vessels navigating the Black Sea, guaranteeing the uninterrupted flow of Ukrainian grain, and stabilising energy exports vital to regional markets. Ranvir Jaiswal noted that Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has also stressed India’s willingness to assist in de‑escalation. Both Russian President Putin and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba have publicly acknowledged India’s constructive role. The bilateral dialogues are intended to ease immediate pressures while laying groundwork for a broader peace framework.
