In a significant reshuffle, Bihar's ruling NDA has fortified its assembly operations with new whip appointments announced by CM Samrat Chaudhary. BJP's seasoned legislator Sanjeev Chaurasia from Diagha assumes the Chief Whip mantle, succeeding Vinod Narayan Jha. JD(U)'s Manjeet Kumar Singh from Barouli takes on Deputy Chief Whip duties, reflecting the alliance's balanced approach. Nine additional whips have been named: Gayatri Devi (Parihar), Raju Tiwari (Govindganj), Ramvilas Kamat (Pipra), Sudhanshu Shekhar (Harlakhi), Rana Randhir (Madhuban), Vinay Kumar Chaudhary (Benipur), Krishna Kumar Rishi (Bamanmkhih), Arun Manjhi (Masauthi), and Ratnesh Kumar (Patna Sahib). Notably, Kamat and Chaudhary earn their first such roles. Chaurasia's ascent highlights his stature. An EBC leader with RSS pedigree and ABVP activism, he's a three-term Diagha MLA whose efforts have strengthened BJP statewide. His father served as Sikkim Governor. Posting on X, he hailed the trust from leaders like Nitin Nabin and Sanjay Sarawgi. Whips are indispensable in democracy, enforcing discipline and orchestrating floor coordination. Cabinet-rank Chief Whip and minister-level deputies will empower the NDA to navigate debates, push reforms, and repel opposition tactics effectively. As Bihar's assembly gears up, these picks signal a proactive governance phase.
