New Book Chronicles RSS's Role in Social Welfare Over 100 Years

New Delhi, September 15 – Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan presided over the release of “A Century of Service – The RSS in 100 Acts of Service,” a comprehensive record of the RSS’s social initiatives since its inception. The book, authored by former Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilsai Soundararajan, offers a detailed account of the organization’s humanitarian projects across the nation.

Speaking to the gathering, the Vice President warned that without systematic documentation, noble deeds may be forgotten. He highlighted the RSS’s steadfast belief that service is a sacred duty, reflected in programmes that reach the economically weaker, the labour force, women and children.

Radhakrishnan cited the extensive relief operations carried out by RSS volunteers during the COVID‑19 pandemic, where they supplied meals, medicines and essential assistance to affected communities. He also noted that the publication stresses the link between character formation and nation‑building, advocating for patriotism, discipline and social responsibility as core values.

The Vice President congratulated Dr. Soundararajan and the publishing team, expressing confidence that the book will serve as a reference for upcoming generations seeking to continue India’s legacy of service.
