NEET‑UG Question Paper Leak Probe: CBI Releases Sanjeev Mukhiya on Bail

The Central Bureau of Investigation, which took over the case from the Economic Offences Wing in June 2024, had earlier interrogated Mukhiya and placed him under remand. Following a detailed inquiry, the agency concluded that there was no concrete proof of his active participation in the distribution of leaked question papers. Consequently, the special court, taking the CBI’s findings into account, ordered his release on bail, while the agency continues to pursue charges against 45 other accused individuals.
