NCR Weather Shifts as Rain Brings Cold Winds and a Yellow Alert

Delhi-NCR is witnessing a sharp change in weather as intermittent rain and cold winds have pushed temperatures down. The regional weather office has issued a yellow alert for the NCR for Friday. Rain that started late last night has made the chill more noticeable for residents.

The latest information on the IMD website suggests that cloud cover will dominate the sky on October 30. Light to moderate rain is expected at several locations from morning until the afternoon. At some isolated spots, lightning, thunder and strong winds may accompany moderate rain.

The weather department has cautioned about thunder, lightning and light to moderate rain during both morning and afternoon hours. Today's maximum temperature has been logged at 27 degrees Celsius, while the minimum stands at 17 degrees Celsius. The drop in temperature, driven by rain and strong winds, has made conditions quite pleasant.

Rainfall has also helped clear pollution particles from the atmosphere, resulting in better air quality. For October 31, the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, with a maximum of 29 degrees and a minimum of 16 degrees Celsius.

Clear weather is expected between November 1 and November 4. The skies will stay clear on these days, with maximum temperatures near 30 degrees and minimum temperatures between 16 and 17 degrees Celsius. Even so, the yellow alert remains in effect, and rain along with strong winds is still possible. Residents are advised not to stand beneath trees during gusty conditions.
