Police in northeast Delhi’s Nand Nagri have made a breakthrough in a recent homicide, apprehending the perpetrator armed with a pistol and three live rounds. The arrest brings closure to the family of victim Mohammad Umaruddin, slain near Bade School.
Inspector Anand Yadav’s squad worked tirelessly, comprising experienced officers like ASI Pramod and several head constables. Their efforts paid off as they tracked down Sunil, also known as Deepu or Narendra from B-Block, based on solid clues and evidence.
Under rigorous questioning, the suspect admitted his guilt. This isn’t his first brush with the law; he faces charges in eight previous cases ranging from homicide attempts to arms possession and violent crimes.
Meanwhile, Delhi’s roads claimed another life in Subhash Nagar when a recklessly driven car mowed down a delivery boy late at night. A petrol pump worker witnessed the horror, describing the car’s excessive speed and the driver’s apparent drunken state. Community members caught one of the men trying to escape, while police detained the driver. Authorities are probing both incidents thoroughly to ensure justice.
