Guest Appearance on KBC Reveals Nana Patekar’s Reason for Leaving the City

During a special guest segment on the quiz‑show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 17’, host Amitabh Bachchan asked the celebrated actor why he had abandoned a successful Bollywood career to live in a remote village. Patekar answered with characteristic honesty, stating that he came to Mumbai merely to work and then returned home. He never attended parties, avoided prolonged stays in the metropolis, and preferred the tranquility of his hill‑surrounded home in Ratnagiri. He also mentioned that he does not own an air conditioner because he never feels the need for it, emphasizing that the mountains around his house provide a natural cooling environment.
