Rural Health Training Centre Najafgarh Shows Steady Gains in Patient Care

On Monday, JP Nadda chaired a progress‑assessment meeting for the Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC) in Najafgarh. The review covered patient care, infrastructure, human resources, academic activities and the rollout of digital health tools.

The minister cited the April 13, 2026 meeting and ordered all agencies to meet timelines, monitor resource availability and maintain high‑quality medical training.

The centre now operates a fully functional OPD, emergency services, rabies‑vaccination, anti‑snake‑bite, and primary medicine units, along with a laboratory, ambulance fleet and a minor‑surgery theatre.

Monthly, the centre handles roughly 47,000 OPD consultations, 9,000 emergency cases and, in August 2026, 221 minor surgical procedures.
