Naidu: Andhra Set for Gold Mining Surge and Defense Leap

In Puttaparthi, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu painted an ambitious picture Friday, predicting Andhra Pradesh's rise as a gold production leader while inaugurating groundbreaking defense initiatives. At the heart of his announcement is the Jonnagiri gold mine in Kurnool, expected to yield 600 kg of gold this year, scaling up to 1,500 kg next year. This development shifts the narrative from cinematic gold legends like KGF to real-world success in JG F – Jonnagiri Gold Fields. The event doubled as a launchpad for key defense projects. Alongside Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Naidu laid the foundation for the AMCA program, a DRDO-ADA endeavor advancing India's stealth tech, avionics, and fighter jet prowess. Under PM Modi's guidance, India is accelerating towards defense self-sufficiency, Naidu noted. Nine MoUs with industry giants will transform the state into a defense manufacturing epicenter. Praising 'Operation Sindoor' as a milestone of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Naidu detailed the AMCA's Rs 15,803 crore investment over 650 acres, fostering a township and 7,500 jobs in Puttaparthi. 'We've fast-tracked approvals in 36 days,' he said, positioning Puttaparthi as India's strategic defense hub. This synergy of gold riches and aerospace innovation underscores Andhra's pivotal role in national progress, promising economic vitality and technological sovereignty.
