MP Nadvi accuses BJP and RSS of polarising nation after Bhardwaj case

Delhi – In a press briefing on September 5, Dr. Mohibullah Nadvi of the Samajwadi Party accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and its ideological partner RSS of trying to turn the Swatantra Bhardwaj arrest into a communal showdown.

Nadvi said that Hindu and Muslim communities are jointly raising their voices against what he described as “oppression by the BJP and the Sangh.” He warned that labeling the episode as a religious clash weakens the real issue of law and order.

He recalled the 2020 Jamia Millia Islamia student movement, when police used lathi‑charge on young readers in a library, describing such actions as part of a “special mindset” aimed at dividing the country on the bases of religion or caste.

The MP reiterated the Samajwadi Party’s stance that every citizen deserves justice and that “social justice must prevail,” echoing Akhilesh Yadav’s message that resonates with students across the nation.
