Mysterious Deaths of 34‑Year‑Old Man and 4‑Year‑Old Son in Bengaluru

A chilling double homicide unfolded in the northern Bengaluru suburb of Chikkabanavara when the lifeless bodies of a 34‑year‑old man, Abhinandan, and his four‑year‑old son were discovered inside their house on August 18. The victims were located at a property on the 9th cross of Guttè Basweshwar Nagar. Their mother, Bhagya, was alerted early that morning by a relative’s phone call reporting the incident.

When she arrived at approximately 9:15 a.m., Bhagya observed multiple wounds on her son’s father – bruises on the face, hands and feet, and a bleeding head injury – alongside the child's corpse, which bore indications of strangulation. The police FIR alleges that the wife, Harini, may have orchestrated the killings with another person’s assistance, possibly linked to an alleged extramarital affair with a man named Vinay.

The case has been registered under Indian Penal Code sections 238 and 103(1). Investigators are scrutinising Harini’s alleged involvement, examining whether she collaborated with an accomplice to plan and execute the murders. They are also reviewing prior domestic conflicts that could have escalated into the fatal act. Forensic teams are conducting a thorough analysis to confirm the exact cause of death and to uncover the motive behind this tragic family crime.
