Muslim Scholars' Role in India's Unity Emphasized by Madani

Maulana Arshad Madani, speaking on the 80th year of India's independence, highlighted the pivotal contribution of Muslim scholars in preserving the country's unity. In a message posted on X, he asserted that the nation's freedom was forged through the collective sacrifices of elders, scholars, and activists who resisted British domination.

Madani stressed that these scholars consistently rejected any attempt to fragment the nation and viewed Hindu‑Muslim solidarity as the true foundation of India's strength. Their steadfast commitment continues to shape the country's historical narrative.

The day also saw statements from Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi, who sent heartfelt wishes, and AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal, who called for continued peace, brotherhood, and assistance to those affected by recent floods in Assam.
