Storage Project in Muraina Achieves Competitive Rate, Boosts Renewable Grid
The Muraina four‑hour storage‑plus project secured a power purchase agreement at ₹2.70 per unit, making it one of the most price‑competitive energy‑storage initiatives in India. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav highlighted the project’s role in balancing supply and demand, especially when solar generation fluctuates.
By integrating storage, the state can store excess solar output during peak sunshine hours and release it during evenings or cloudy periods, ensuring a steady flow of green electricity.
Yadav stressed that such storage solutions are critical for achieving the 24‑hour renewable energy vision and will enhance grid stability while reducing dependence on fossil‑fuel backups.
The project, backed by leading industry players, is expected to set a precedent for similar storage deployments across other Indian states.
