After intensive consultations, Madhya Pradesh announced that sixty percent of the summer mung crop will be purchased at the Minimum Support Price, replacing the earlier 25% ceiling. The change targets key districts—Narmadapuram, Sehore and Harda—benefiting farmers with about three quintals per acre. The procurement‑slot booking period has been extended to 10 days (30 July‑10 August) and the deadline pushed to 20 August. The e‑token system for fertilizer distribution is suspended pending a high‑level committee’s findings.
