Multiple Verification Twists Raise Questions on TET Scores

Amaravathi, September 13 – In a recent DSC communication, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy highlighted a series of puzzling developments surrounding Andhra Pradesh’s teacher recruitment.

He noted that after candidates cleared seven verification stages, they were automatically assigned 65 marks in the Teacher Eligibility Test, a figure that does not reflect individual performance.

The DEO later declared those same candidates ineligible, prompting Jagan to ask what exact checks were performed during the seven stages. The lack of transparency, he argued, suggests systemic flaws.

A further twist emerged when an appointed candidate confessed he did not understand how he secured the job, indicating possible administrative opacity.

Reddy also cited the DEO’s confirmation that the candidate had achieved 77 marks in the 2018 TET. If those marks were already on record, Jagan questioned why the candidate was not considered earlier and why the ineligibility verdict was only issued after the appointment.

Complicating matters, the 77‑mark result belongs to Paper‑II‑B (School Assistant Special Education), while the candidate applied for an SG‑T position that requires Paper‑I‑A. This discrepancy raises doubts about how the candidate cleared the seven‑stage verification.

Jagan concluded by urging Chief Minister Naidu to address these anomalies, stressing that without a fair and transparent process the credibility of the recruitment will remain in doubt.
