Multiple FIRs Filed Over Vet Officer Exam Irregularities in Bangalore

Bengaluru, 18 August – The Enforcement Directorate’s Bengaluru zonal office lodged four First Information Reports on Tuesday after receiving complaints about the final selection stage of the Veterinary Officer recruitment conducted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission. The FIRs allege that several middlemen approached candidates, demanding payments of Rs 70‑80 lakh per aspirant to guarantee a successful selection.

The complainants have provided audio recordings of conversations with the intermediaries, which were submitted to the local education authority (LEA). The LEA, in turn, has recorded additional grievances, including allegations of paper leaks, manipulation of OMR answer sheets, and the participation of relatives of KPSC officials in influencing the final merit list.

Law enforcement agencies are now tracing the alleged bribe money under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. The ED has also seized computers, hard drives and financial documents from the offices of the private firm Messrs EduTest Solutions Ltd, which was responsible for the digital assessment of exam papers.

Officials say the ongoing probe aims to uncover the full extent of the corruption network and hold accountable those who compromised the integrity of the recruitment process.
