Multi‑State Investment Fraud Linked to Fake Brokerage Firm

Law enforcement agencies across four Indian states have linked a large‑scale investment fraud to a bogus brokerage operation managed by a woman from Kerala. The scheme hinged on promising investors a minimum 5 % return from stock‑market trades, a promise that never materialised. Participants were coaxed into a group chat where they received a link to a fabricated trading portal, allegedly run by the accused’s firm. The portal was used to create an illusion of legitimate trading activity while the money was siphoned into a Federal Bank account under the name of a jointly‑owned company. Investigators recovered 33.40 lakh rupees in suspicious deposits and documented a total transaction volume of 39.70 lakh rupees over a six‑month period.
