Multi‑School Initiative Addresses Education, Safety and Career Guidance for Girls
The Shakti Samvad campaign coordinated activities across all 84 higher secondary schools in the Kahalgaw block. Female officers served as chief guests and interacted directly with students on topics ranging from education and menstrual hygiene to cyber security and career counseling.
Each session featured discussions on mental health, skill‑building workshops and guidance on financial independence, ensuring that girls receive a well‑rounded exposure to opportunities beyond the classroom. Special emphasis was placed on preventing child marriage, with teachers and local officials explaining legal repercussions and social consequences.
The initiative also introduced "Child Marriage Prevention Teachers" and assistant teachers in every school, tasked with spreading awareness and reporting suspicious cases to authorities, thereby creating a vigilant support network within the education system.
