MP government asked to delete bank liens from revenue records and Bhulekh portal

In a formal letter addressed to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh has demanded the removal of mortgage entries linked to the closed Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank from both physical revenue records and the MP Bhulekh digital portal.

Singh references an email from Kedarnath Sirohi, a former member of the Agricultural Advisory Council, which confirms that many farmers’ lands are still listed as pledged to the bank despite its liquidation. The persistence of these entries obstructs essential land‑related activities such as registration, sale, and partition.

The former chief minister stresses that farmers who have repaid their loans should not continue to face restrictions on their property. He calls for the Cooperative Department and the Revenue Department to issue clear, binding instructions to their field officers, ensuring that eligible landowners receive mortgage‑free titles without further delay.

Additionally, Singh insists that once the liens are cleared, the updates must be reflected instantly on the MP Bhulekh portal, preventing future disputes in land transactions. He urges the state government to prioritize this issue and to resolve all pending cases of similar nature across Madhya Pradesh.
