MOU signed to create clean, vibrant community zones beneath Delhi flyovers

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, accompanied by senior officials of the Public Works Department, formalised a public‑private partnership on Monday to upgrade the under‑flyover areas into attractive community spaces. The agreement involves Dixon Technologies and Vrukshit Foundation, with a focus on a 2.5‑kilometre stretch from Deepavali to Mangolpuri Market. The initiative will introduce fencing, extensive greening with local plant species, and safe walking routes. Artistic murals and eco‑friendly installations will be painted on 61 pillars covering an area of about 5,100 square metres, reinforcing messages of environmental stewardship. The Kanodia Group will, through its CSR programme, develop and maintain a two‑acre green belt along Mathura Road and MP Road. The partnership seeks to address persistent problems such as garbage dumping, illegal settlements, and uncontrolled usage that have compromised the safety and cleanliness of these areas.
