The confrontation occurred early Wednesday at a key intersection under Dimni police jurisdiction, as forest officials tried to intercept the overloaded vehicle.
ASP Surendra Pal Singh detailed how the driver, instead of halting, accelerated towards the guard in a brazen act of defiance. Authorities have filed an FIR and are combing the area for the absconding suspect and tractor. Postmortem procedures are in progress to ascertain further details.
