Mohan Yadav Praises Modi’s Dual Success as Chief Minister and Prime Minister

Bhopal – On October 12, Madhya Pradesh’s chief minister Mohan Yadav lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a singular example of political consistency, noting that the leader has never failed to secure the top post whether contesting state assembly elections or national parliamentary polls. Yadav pointed out that Modi’s career defies ordinary expectations: each campaign for a legislative seat concluded with his appointment as chief minister of Gujarat, and every Lok Sabha contest ended with his elevation to the prime minister’s office.

The CM placed this achievement in the context of India’s recent political history. After the 1984 post‑Indira Gandhi election, the nation experienced a period of coalition rule that stretched from 1989 to 2013, creating a widespread conviction that single‑party dominance at the centre was unrealistic. The Bharatiya Janata Party, frequently dismissed as incapable of forming a government on its own, took a bold step by announcing Modi as its prime‑ministerial candidate.

According to Yadav, the party’s leadership opted for Modi after weighing several alternatives, demonstrating a deep commitment to his leadership style and policy agenda. The electorate’s enthusiastic response translated into a decisive victory that reshaped the country’s political trajectory.

Yadav also highlighted the broad‑based welfare measures that now reach roughly 80 crore people, describing the free distribution of food grains as an embodiment of the ancient concept of “Ramrajya.” Programs such as Jan Dhan Yojana, Mudra Loan Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and the Ujjwala scheme have collectively lifted millions out of poverty and enhanced living standards.

Key economic reforms—most notably the implementation of GST and the 2016 demonetisation—have altered the country’s financial architecture, while social initiatives like the abolition of triple talaq and a revamped justice code aim to make the legal system more equitable and inclusive.
