PM Modi’s pardon of disruptive students praised by Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Nirupam
Sanjay Nirupam commented on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to forgive a group of students and children who used indecent language during a protest at Jantar Mantar. He described the youngsters as misguided and highlighted that the law had already taken action.
Nirupam praised the prime minister’s video message, calling it a display of a generous heart that offered the wayward youths a chance to reform. He noted that the incident had hurt the sentiments of people who respect the prime minister and his late mother, and that forgiving the offenders helped heal that hurt.
The leader also said it is normal for the opposition to raise questions about the prime minister’s conduct, but such scrutiny does not diminish the goodwill shown in the pardon.
