Modi’s New Zealand Visit Questioned as India Faces Domestic Political Turmoil

Priyanka Chaturvedi, senior leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), weighed in on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent diplomatic trip to New Zealand. While acknowledging the importance of foreign engagement, she warned that India needs introspection when domestic challenges loom large.

She said that during periods of difficulty, the nation cannot rely solely on external goodwill. The focus, she argued, should be on addressing internal political strife, including disputes over the Ram temple trust, accusations of unconstitutional conduct by the BJP, and the growing perception of the party as a "Babar Janata Party".

Chaturvedi emphasized that any overseas outreach must translate into measurable benefits for the country rather than serving personal or partisan agendas.

The leader also reiterated her earlier points on the trust controversy, urging authorities to hold all responsible parties accountable, and called for a transparent, accountable government that respects constitutional norms.
