On the fifth day of the Navratri festival, Prime Minister Narendra Modi used the X social‑media channel to circulate a Sanskrit verse praising Skandamata, the mother of Skanda. The verse, extracted from the fifth chapter of the Durga Saptashati, states:
“Ya devi sarvabhuteshu shakti-roopena sthitā, namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namah.”
Translated into Hindi, it affirms that the goddess, who exists as the force of power within every living entity, is constantly saluted. The post underscored the belief that worshipping Skandamata awakens the pure chakra, bringing peace, prosperity, and spiritual liberation.
