Modi Government’s Law‑And‑Order Stance Highlighted by BJP Leader in Lok Sabha

During a parliamentary session, BJP’s Arun Chaturvedi emphasized that the Modi administration is steadfast in upholding law and order. He explained that the ongoing Special Intensive Review (SIR) of the electoral rolls is being conducted in accordance with established legal provisions, and that police action follows the Indian Penal Code rather than any political agenda.

The leader dismissed claims that the revision process is a tool for political manipulation, noting that similar revisions have been carried out seven times under previous Congress prime ministers. Chaturvedi also reminded the house that the Indian electorate has repeatedly demonstrated its power to replace even the most entrenched leaders, a fact he illustrated with the 1977 election that removed Indira Gandhi. He concluded by asserting that ordinary citizens continue to have confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance.
