Modi highlights Sanskrit verse promising prosperity and health

Prime Minister Narendra Modi used X on September 1 to share a Sanskrit shloka that links secrecy in planning with true wisdom. The line, “Yasya kṛtyaṁ na jānanti mantraṁ vā mantritaṁ pare…”, is interpreted to mean that a person whose strategies stay hidden until they succeed is genuinely wise.

He also referenced a Monday post containing the verse “Yad yadeva prasaktaṁ hi vitarkayati mānavaḥ…”, which stresses that repeated mental focus draws the mind toward the object of thought, urging citizens to dwell on positive and beneficial ideas.

In prior weeks, Modi posted on August 28 a verse describing the protective effect that brings victory, happiness, offspring, health and wealth, and on August 27 a passage urging the nation to advance tradition, act with justice, follow a luminous path of intellect, and foster virtuous citizens.
