Modi government accelerates road building in Arunachal frontier

Rishidevi highlighted that the road network in the high‑altitude zones of Arunachal Pradesh has seen a dramatic transformation since the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power in 2014. The Prime Minister's "Look East" policy has led to the construction of all‑weather roads to remote villages like Taksing, which previously had no vehicular access. The minister contrasted this progress with the earlier Congress‑led governments, which, according to her, delayed infrastructure projects while China advanced its own border roads. She noted that the newly completed road to Maja marks the first such connectivity since 1947, enabling quicker movement of troops and supplies.
