During the “Seva Teerth” meet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the need for faster, smoother consular services. He urged the 2025 IFS trainees to leverage technology to make consular functions more citizen‑friendly and efficient.

The leader pointed out that a mission’s digital footprint, especially its website, often forms the initial contact point for the public. Strengthening this online presence, he said, is critical for effective outreach.

Beyond administrative improvements, Modi asked the diplomats to promote India’s civilizational strengths, cultural assets, and tourism opportunities, thereby enhancing the country’s image on the global stage. He stressed that engaging with local communities and the Indian diaspora is essential for deepening bilateral relations.
