Mission Shakti and Women Police Force Highlighted in Yogi’s Navratri Address

Yogi Adityanath reminded listeners that the Mission Shakti programme, launched in 2020, aimed to connect women’s safety, dignity and empowerment with public participation. He noted that more than 44,000 women now serve in the Uttar Pradesh police, with a 20% reservation for female recruits. Three women’s PAC battalions have been raised in the names of historic heroines, reinforcing the state’s commitment to female security and leadership.
