Minister praises Chief Minister’s welfare drive and new rice distribution scheme

Azharuddin lauded Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s focus on education and welfare, stating that the administration is taking concrete steps to ensure that schemes reach the people directly. He praised the free bus travel initiative for women and the distribution of high‑quality Basmati rice as examples of the government’s people‑first approach.

“The Congress government is working with utmost honesty to fulfil its promises,” Azharuddin said, adding that every eligible beneficiary should receive benefits without unnecessary delays or complications.

He also acknowledged the efforts of Public Supply Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, who is strengthening the PDS, expanding the ration card coverage and guaranteeing the supply of premium rice across the state.
