Minister Kashyap says opposition sidetracks progress, cites budget boost
During an interaction with the media, Uttar Pradesh minister Narendra Kashyap condemned the Samajwadi Party for repeatedly diverting legislative attention toward sectarian issues. He highlighted that a supplementary budget is set to be introduced, unlocking additional resources for ongoing development schemes.
Kashyap said the opposition’s tactics of repeatedly raising caste and religious matters create unnecessary disruptions in the house. He stressed that a healthy democracy requires opposition voices to propose alternatives, not merely block every initiative.
The minister also referenced the recent attack on MP Pappu Yadav, calling it an assault on the sanctity of parliamentary discourse. He warned that any attempt to politicise sacred symbols would be met with firm response from the broader Hindu community.
