Minister Highlights Revenue Boost as Fresh Appointments Take Oath in Patna

Patna, June 30 – In a dual‑venue ceremony at the state secretariat, Minister Pramod Kumar of the Mines, Antiquities, Culture and Arts portfolio handed out appointment letters to a total of fifteen newly recruited officers and staff members.

The first session, held in the Mines Department office, saw the minister present letters to five newly appointed mineral‑development officers and a clerk belonging to a socially‑dependent category. The ceremony was overseen by Secretary Avnish Kumar Singh and Director of Mines Manesh Kumar Meena.

Subsequently, at the Culture and Arts Department headquarters, nine other officials were given their formal appointment documents. Present were Department Secretary Pranav Kumar, Additional Secretary Ruby, Director Krishna Kumar, and Joint Secretary Mahmood Alam.

Minister Kumar congratulated the inductees and reiterated the state’s emphasis on integrating young professionals into public service. He called on them to execute their responsibilities with utmost sincerity.

Speaking with journalists afterwards, Kumar explained that the ministries under his charge generate significant revenue for Bihar, and the new officers will help increase this inflow as they commence work in their respective jurisdictions. He also mentioned that Bihar manages twenty‑six museums, and the newly appointed assistant museum officers will be responsible for safeguarding these cultural assets, which rank among the nation’s elite.

Addressing the issue of complaints against departmental officials, Kumar assured that each grievance is taken seriously, reviewed thoroughly, and that the tangible output of the officers is evident in official files and statistical data.
