Minister highlights crop insurance and women’s empowerment in Bihar

During the same event, Chauhan turned his attention to the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme, describing it as a vital safety net for Bihar’s farmers facing floods, droughts, excessive rainfall and other natural calamities. The scheme promises compensation to eligible growers when crops are damaged, thereby reducing agricultural uncertainty. He also spoke about strengthening procurement, assistance systems and technology access for farmers, asserting that resilient farmers build resilient villages, which in turn strengthen the state.
