New Delhi, August 5 — Union Minister Giriraj Singh responded sharply to Rahul Gandhi’s suggestion that the administration should demand an apology from students involved in recent protests instead of granting them forgiveness. Singh argued that Gandhi should turn his focus inward and resolve issues inside the Congress before dispensing advice to the public. He quoted a well‑known Bihar adage, “Apna byah nahi, Surdas ke bartuhari,” to stress that the opposition must first correct its own course. Singh also warned that the nation should not be led by a leader who, in his view, lacks the necessary political gravitas, urging the party to seek guidance from more seasoned opposition veterans.
