Minister Calls for Immediate CBI Probe into Jharkhand Exam Issues

During a press briefing in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Minister Naren Kashyap urged the Jharkhand government to launch an immediate CBI investigation into the examination irregularities that have sparked student protests. He emphasized that the authorities must treat the concerns of students with utmost seriousness and act without delay.

Kashyap pointed out that prolonged road blockades by students, who are armed only with books and pens, underline a systemic failure that demands transparent scrutiny. He warned that ignoring these problems could further erode confidence in the education system.

The minister also praised the Election Commission of India for introducing voter‑ID based electoral processes in a nation of over 140 crore people, describing it as a significant step toward transparency. He noted that such reforms, praised even by international leaders, reinforce democratic resilience across the country.
