Minister Bhaskar Battacharya Urges Citizens to Light Diyas for Modi’s Health

State Minister Bhaskar Battacharya publicly requested that all residents of West Bengal light a diya at 7 p.m. on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The lighting is meant to convey prayers for the Prime Minister’s long and healthy life, enabling him to continue his work for the nation.

Battacharya also took the opportunity to appeal for public cooperation with a series of new development initiatives announced by Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, emphasizing that collective goodwill will drive the state’s progress.

The minister warned that any form of unrest surrounding the upcoming by‑elections in two West Bengal constituencies would not be tolerated, reaffirming the government’s commitment to a peaceful electoral process.
