MHADA Aims to Deliver Hundreds of Thousands of Homes, Says CM Fadnavis

Fadnavis emphasized that MHADA's current portfolio of projects is expected to generate a massive increase in affordable housing units for the average citizen over the next few years. He urged that all schemes, including the BDD Chali relocation effort, be completed on schedule and with uncompromised quality. The chief minister also called for an accelerated pace in the redevelopment of Kamathipura, asking officials to evaluate the feasibility of new bridges, roads, and feeder routes to support the upgraded neighbourhood.

The MHADA chief executive, Sanjeev Jaiswal, disclosed that the authority is managing 15 projects in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, with a total outlay of roughly Rs 37 lakh crore, and that more than 2.1 million flats will emerge from the collective redevelopment plan.
